A week in a Mykonos villa is a real budget, and the chef is part of it. Before you book, you should know exactly what you are paying for. Here is how I price a week as a private chef in Mykonos: my rates, a worked example and what is not included.
How a week with a private chef unfolds
The price makes more sense once you see what the days look like. A week with me in a Mykonos villa follows a simple rhythm, adjusted to your beach clubs, boat days and evenings out.
We talk about tastes, allergies, children and the plan for your week. Boat trip to Delos on Wednesday? Dinner in town on Friday? I build the menus around it.
I stock the kitchen with the basics and the first fresh produce, so the first meal is ready when you have settled in.
I do the shopping: fish and octopus from the fishermen at the port, vegetables and herbs from island growers, kopanisti and local cheeses from producers.
With Prestige, that usually means a light lunch by the pool and dinner on the terrace at sunset. Exclusive adds breakfast and an afternoon snack.
I serve at the table, clear away and leave the kitchen clean. You never touch a pan.
My prices by package
My packages are priced per day, for the whole group, not per person. The difference between them is the number of meals I cook each day.
| Package | Meals per day | Per day | 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | 1 meal: breakfast, lunch or dinner | €400 | €2,800 |
| Prestige | 2 meals, usually lunch and dinner | €450 | €3,150 |
| Exclusive | Breakfast, lunch, dinner and an afternoon snack | €600 | €4,200 |
These rates cover 1 to 10 guests. For larger groups, the price changes in clear steps:
- 11 to 15 guests: €100 per day added to the chosen package.
- 16 to 20 guests: I recommend adding a server at €220 per day, so table service stays smooth.
- More than 20 guests: on quote, with a team sized for your stay.
Example: a weekly budget for 6 guests
Let's take a common case: six friends or a family of six, seven days in a villa near Psarou or Ornos, with the Prestige package (lunch and dinner every day).
| Item | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Chef's fee | 7 days × €450 | €3,150 |
| Groceries (estimate) | 6 guests × 7 days × €25 to €50 | €1,050 to €2,100 |
| Travel and accommodation | Depends on dates and flights | In the quote |
For six guests, the Prestige fee works out at €75 per person per day for two meals cooked, served and cleared in your villa.
What is included, and what is not
Included in the daily rate:
- Menu planning before and during the stay
- The time I spend shopping at the port, markets and producers
- Cooking in your villa, with menus adapted to children, allergies and diets
- Table service
- Kitchen cleaning after each meal
Not included:
- Groceries, paid at actual cost on receipts
- My travel and accommodation, detailed in the quote
- Wines and other drinks (I can advise you on them)
- A server or extra staff for large groups
Essential, Prestige or Exclusive: which one to choose?
Essential suits you if you spend your days out: lunch at a beach club, a boat day around the island. I cook one meal a day, usually a dinner on the terrace, and it becomes the highlight of the day.
Prestige is the balance I recommend most often for a week: lunch at the villa and dinner at sunset, while leaving room for an evening in Chora or a long lunch by the sea.
Exclusive is for groups who want to enjoy the villa from morning to night: breakfast by the pool, lunch, an afternoon snack for the children and a dinner that can become a tasting menu on request.
Booking tips for high season
- July and August: book 2 to 3 months ahead. These are the busiest weeks on the island.
- June and September: 4 to 6 weeks is usually enough, and the island is quieter.
- Minimum stay: 4 days. A full week lets the menus follow the markets and the catch.
- Share your plans early: boat days, dinners out and arrival times help me choose the right package with you.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a private chef cost for a week in Mykonos?
For 7 days and 1 to 10 guests, my fee is €2,800 with Essential, €3,150 with Prestige and €4,200 with Exclusive. Groceries are added at actual cost, on receipts, as well as my travel and accommodation.
How are groceries paid with a private chef in Mykonos?
I do all the shopping and keep every receipt. You pay the actual cost of the food, with no flat rate and no mark-up. As a guide, allow around €25 to €50 per person per day, depending on the menus and the number of meals.
What if we are more than 10 guests?
From 11 to 15 guests, €100 per day is added to the chosen package. From 16 to 20 guests, I recommend adding a server at €220 per day. Beyond 20 guests, I prepare a quote with a team sized for the stay.
What is the minimum stay with a private chef?
The minimum is 4 days. A full week gives the menus time to evolve with the markets and the catch of the day.
When should I book a private chef for July or August in Mykonos?
For July and August, book 2 to 3 months ahead. For June and September, 4 to 6 weeks is usually enough. Contact me as soon as your villa dates are confirmed.
