Wedding venue guide
Choosing the setting for your reception, through the eyes of a chef who knows their kitchens
Before we even talk about food, almost every couple asks me the same question: where should we get married around the Bay? The setting matters, of course, but a good reception venue must also make it easy to host, to serve and to put people up for the night.
I have set up my brigade in châteaux, by the water, among the pine trees and in family gardens. This page brings together the venues I know, and what I look at first whenever I visit one: its kitchen.
A few addresses I know by heart. I also cook anywhere else, at the venue of your choice.
A large reception hall opening onto grounds, between Pereire beach and the pine forest, with the Bay as a backdrop. My weddings at the Tir au Vol
A château in the heart of the Bay, with a large garden for the welcome drinks and rooms that open onto one another. I have cooked there since 2019, since my very first weddings. My weddings at Château Mader
A family house on the peninsula, looking out over the Bay, where tradition meets contemporary elegance. My weddings at the Demeure du Siècle
Between Le Moulleau and Les Abatilles, an estate tucked away among the pines, for a natural and refined wedding. My weddings at Domaine de la Dune
An exceptional villa on the shores of the Bay, surrounded by wooded grounds, for a wedding by the water. My weddings at Villa La Tosca
| Type of venue | Atmosphere | Kitchen points to check | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Château | Classic elegance, beautiful rooms, grounds for the welcome drinks | The kitchen can be far from the room: I time the service route so plates arrive hot. | Château Mader |
| House among the pines | A natural celebration in the shade of the pines, between forest and ocean | Venues in the heart of nature: deliveries and vehicle access need planning. | Domaine de la Dune |
| Waterside villa | Intimate, facing the Bay, at sunset | A domestic kitchen: I add equipment and plan a dedicated plating area. | Villa La Tosca |
| Reception hall | Practical, designed to host large numbers | Usually a professional kitchen: I check the ovens, cold storage and washing-up area. | The Tir au Vol |
| Family home | The most personal venue, often in the garden | A set-up to design: pop-up kitchen, power, water and lighting for the brigade. | Demeure du Siècle |
I adapt to every layout: if the kitchen lacks equipment, I bring what is needed.
Tell me where and when, and I will tell you how I picture your reception in that setting. A personal reply within 24 working hours.
