No more country roads at night
Gordes, Bonnieux or Les Baux are reached by narrow, winding, poorly lit roads. At the villa, nobody has to drive after dinner: the evening ends at the table, under the stars.
French market cooking in your villa or mas, from the Luberon to the Alpilles and from Aix-en-Provence to Mont Ventoux.
Book your chef
A villa with a pool in the Luberon, a stone mas at the foot of the Alpilles, a bastide near Aix-en-Provence or a winegrower's house facing Mont Ventoux: in Provence, the best moments happen at home, in the shade of the plane trees, to the rhythm of the markets.
Whether you need a private chef in the Luberon, in Aix-en-Provence or in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, I come and cook in your villa for the length of your stay. I am a French chef with some twenty years of experience, cooking seasonal fine French food built every day around what the market has to offer. Stays are 4 days minimum.
For a family or a group of friends renting a villa, it is the simplest way to eat beautifully without leaving the house. I take care of the menus, the shopping, the cooking, the service and the clean-up. My packages range from €400 to €600 a day for 1 to 10 guests, groceries extra.
I do the shopping myself, at the markets and from local producers.
Vaucluse, Bouches-du-Rhône and the inland Var: I come to your villa or mas.
Time enough for the menus to evolve over your stay, with the market and your wishes.

Villas, mas and bastides, from the Luberon to the inland Var
Gordes, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Lourmarin. Hilltop villages and stone farmhouses among vineyards, cherry orchards and lavender fields.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Eygalières, Les Baux-de-Provence, Maussane. Olive groves, farmhouses tucked into the garrigue and the light that inspired Van Gogh.
Aix-en-Provence, Le Tholonet, Puyricard. Bastides set in parkland, views of Mont Sainte-Victoire and a market in town every morning.
Grand houses around the city of the Popes and fine wine estates planted on rounded river stones.
Gigondas, Séguret, Vaison-la-Romaine. Honey-coloured stone villages, terraced vines, hiking and cycling below the Giant of Provence.
Cotignac, Lorgues and the wine estates of green Provence. Quiet bastides, far from the bustle of the coast.
Staying on the coast? See my pages private chef in Saint-Tropez, private chef in Cap Ferrat and private chef in Monaco.
Inland Provence is best enjoyed slowly. With a chef at the house, the evening lasts as long as you like.

Gordes, Bonnieux or Les Baux are reached by narrow, winding, poorly lit roads. At the villa, nobody has to drive after dinner: the evening ends at the table, under the stars.

In July and August, the Michelin-starred restaurants of the Luberon and the Alpilles are often booked up well in advance. With a private chef, fine dining comes to you, every day, at the time that suits you.

The real luxury in Provence is a long table laid in the shade of the plane tree, drinks as the heat fades and dinner by candlelight. You host the people you love without having to organise a thing.
The markets, the producers and the produce I cook with
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue on Sundays, Apt on Saturdays, Lourmarin on Fridays
Sunday mornings, straight from the growers
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence on Wednesdays, Aix-en-Provence every morning on Place Richelme
In winter, at the Richerenches market on Saturdays, from November to March
AOP Vallée des Baux-de-Provence, pressed in the mills of the Alpilles
Lamb from Haute-Provence, roasted with garrigue herbs
The fruit of summer, as a fresh starter or a dessert
AOP goat's cheese, matured in chestnut leaves
In spring, asparagus and Carpentras strawberries
From late summer into autumn, roasted with honey or served with goat's cheese
Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas for richer dishes
Côtes du Luberon and Provence rosés for summer lunches
Each season brings its own produce and its own way of entertaining
Pool villa season: family holidays, stays with friends, birthdays and celebrations. Tomatoes, courgettes, melon, peaches, and dinners outside until late.
Asparagus and strawberries in spring, walks in the Luberon or the Dentelles. In autumn, the grape harvest, figs, mushrooms and soft light over the vineyards.
Black truffle season, from November to March, and Christmas in a mas by the fire: truffled scrambled eggs, festive poultry and the thirteen Provençal desserts.
Three day rates
How much does a private chef cost in Provence? My packages are priced per day and apply to 1 to 10 guests. For 11 to 15 guests, add €100 a day; for 16 to 20, I recommend adding a server at €220 a day; beyond that, on quotation. I do the shopping myself: groceries are extra, charged at actual cost against receipts. My travel and accommodation are also extra.

Yes. Allergies, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or simply different tastes around the table: I take them into account in every menu. For children, I plan dishes they enjoy and mealtimes that follow their rhythm.
July and August are the busiest months, so get in touch as soon as your rental dates are confirmed. Spring, autumn and winter, the season of truffles and Christmas in a mas, offer more flexibility. Send me your dates, the location and the number of guests on WhatsApp or by email.
Tell me the village, your dates and the number of guests, and I will come back to you with a proposal built around your stay.
